Air Force shifts to Global Combat Support System

Northrop Grumman Corp. officials announced today they received a $49.8 million contract for work on the Air Force's Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS).

REMIS handles unclassified maintenance information for Air Force weapon systems.

"Northrop Grumman will provide a cost-effective and comprehensive solution to the Air Force to complete a seamless migration to an integrated framework," said Kent Schneider, president of the defense enterprise solutions business unit in Northrop Grumman Information Technology, in the statement.

The three-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract requires officials at Northrop Grumman to provide application development, configuration management, database administration, hardware operation, help-desk support and system testing services. They will perform work under the contract at the company's Beavercreek, Ohio, location, according to the statement.
