Acquisition clearinghouse launches
A new online resource will offer policy guidelines, tools, education, training and best practices.
Acquisition Center of Excellence
A new online resource will enable agency officials to share acquisition best practices, among other things.
The Acquisition Center of Excellence is a joint project by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy, the Defense Acquisition University and the Federal Acquisition Institute. In addition to best practices, the center will offer policy guidelines, tools, education and training.
Civilian agencies, industry, associations and other organizations also collaborated to create the center, according to officials.
Establishing the site is a requirement of the Services Acquisition Reform Act, passed in 2003.
Officials expect the site to evolve and expand to include the ability to provide greater help as agency officials plan, solicit, evaluate, award and manage services contracts, officials said. It will also complement and augment DAU and FAI courses under development.
