Harris to support crisis system

Defense Information Systems Agency officials awarded today a contract worth up to $175 million to Harris to support the country's Crisis Management System.
Harris officials will support the integrated, secure transmission of voice, video and data nationwide. The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract covers two years with seven option years, according to a Nov. 22 Defense Department contracts' statement.
Officials at the agency's Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization-National Capital Region oversaw the contract award. They solicited and awarded the deal on a sole-source basis, according to the statement.
