The former fed has joined the market research firm as president and CEO.
Alan Balutis, a former federal official well known as an industry and government liaison, has joined market research firm Input as president and chief executive officer of the government strategies unit.
Kevin Plexico, executive vice president of Input's information services unit, said Balutis comes to the firm with a wealth of experience from relationships cultivated over the past several years as he held leadership positions in the Industry Advisory Council and the Federation of Government Information Processing Councils, which is now called the American Council for Technology.
Balutis "was able to build tremendous relationships within industry," which Plexico said Input can build on to develop business. Balutis will oversee consulting services, industry analysis and events planning, Plexico said.
Balutis became president of consulting firm Veridyne in February 2003, after stepping down as executive director of FGIPC due to a disagreement with the organization's board over whether he could do outside consulting work while serving with FGIPC. He takes his position at Input next week.
