OPM launches one-stop hiring site

The Office of Personnel Management is trying to make the hiring process a little easier for agencies by including all information on a single Web site.OPM this month unveiled the new , which brings together human resources information on direct-hire authority, student employment, category ratings and other issues.The site also offers information about statutes and regulations, step-by-step implementation guidance and agency best practices.OPM director Kay Coles James said the new site consolidates “all of the extensive guidance on the new hiring authorities into one easy-to-navigate Web site. This new resource coupled with those that previously existed have the potential for dramatically improving an ability of the HR team governmentwide to help get the right people in the right jobs at the right time.”In other related news, OPM also announced it has launched the .
