Former DHS official joins Apogen
Thomas Ragland, the former director of operations at the Homeland Security department, has joined Apogen Technologies.
Thomas Ragland, former director of operations at the Homeland Security Department, has joined Apogen Technologies as a vice president and deputy general manager of the homeland security group.
"Tom is a recognized leader within homeland security and brings a great understanding of our customers," said Todd Stottlemyer, chief executive officer of Apogen, in announcing Ragland's hiring. "His track record will serve us well as we continue to support our DHS customers with our advanced technology solutions and services."
Apogen, which specializes in enterprise architecture software development and integration, was formed last year through the merger of two other companies, ITS Services and Science and Engineering Associates.
Ragland is also the newly appointed chairman of the American Council for Technology's Homeland Protection Shared Interest Group.
"I am excited to begin tackling the challenges of both positions," Ragland said. "I am a strong believer in collaboration and communication across all levels of government and with private industry."
