Another DHS technology executive gets an industry job.
The Homeland Security Department's former deputy chief information officer has joined PEC Solutions, according to a press release the company issued yesterday.
Mark Emery will direct the Fairfax, Va.-based company's information technology infrastructure support services practice, which supports the networking, server and desktop management functions.
Emery, whose title will be vice president of the Managed Services Division, joined DHS about a year ago. He was acting deputy CIO at the Transportation Security Administration prior to his departmentwide position. He has had more than 28 years of experience in information technology, including telecommunications, according to the release.
Last year, PEC, which specializes in technology for homeland security, criminal justice and intelligence, defense, and civilian agencies, hired Patrick Schambach, a former CIO at TSA.
