EDS adds $102M to fed portfolio

Electronic Data Systems this week reported three federal contract awards with a combined potential value of $102 million.

The pacts are with the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), the Federal Aviation Administration and the Army Headquarters Installation Management Agency Europe. The contracts mark the largest federal contract wins for EDS since the company captured more than $200 million in awards under the General Services Administration’s eTravel Service contract vehicle in January. EDS that month also captured its share of the protest-delayed HUD Information Technology Service contract.

EDS' DMDC User Support contract covers a one-year base period and includes four one-year options. The contract is worth up to $61 million, if all options are exercised.

Under the contract, the integrator will deploy a tier one call center solution in Alexandria, Va. EDS also will support the Real-time Automated Personnel Identification System, Common Access Card, and the OCONUS Defense Biometric Identification System.

At FAA, EDS was awarded the recompete of the National Airspace System Aeronautical Information Management Enterprise System (NAIMES) contract. The project supports systems that manage weather information, flight plans, and notice-to-airmen data. The contract could be worth up to $36 million, if all options are exercised. EDS has been supporting NAIMES since 1992, according to the company.

EDS' Army Headquarters Installation Management Agency Europe contract is worth up to $5.2 million. EDS will support an IT service desk in Heidelberg, Germany, and maintain the organization’s local-area network and wide-area network infrastructure. EDS also will support the Army Integrated Facilities System.
