Keane retools NC bank site
The revamped site provides electronic payment capabilities that allow financial firms to renew some licenses online.
Keane has redesigned the North Carolina Commissioner of Banks’ Web site, which the organization launched this week.
The Office of the Commissioner of Banks works in conjunction with the North Carolina Banking Commission to charter and regulate the state’s banks and trust companies. Other duties include the registration and licensing of various financial institutions, according to the Commissioner of Banks’ Web site.
The site redesign is intended to make it easier for visitors to access regulatory information, news and forms. The revamped site also provides electronic payment capabilities that allow financial firms to renew some licenses online.
Other additions include search technology from dtSearch that lets users search across the entire portal for information, according to a Keane spokeswoman. The Web site complies with the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, meeting Level 2 success criteria.
The Commissioner of Banks’ site uses Microsoft’s Content Management Server, which lets the organization’s internal business units maintain and update content. The Web site is divided into five sections: mortgage, consumer industries, consumer assistance, financial institutions and researchers.
North Carolina state-chartered banks had assets of $135 billion in 2004.
