Company credits DOD work for growth in revenue and profits.
Anteon International’s revenue grew by more than 20 percent in its second quarter, while boosting profits and generating more than $500 million in new orders.
The integrator reported today second-quarter revenue of $368.6 million, a 21.2 percent increase compared with last year’s second-quarter total of $304.2 million. The company's net profits rose from $14.7 million to $20 million during the same period, and Anteon tallied $510 million in new business orders during the second quarter. New task orders on existing contracts accounted for the bulk of the activity.
Company officials said the Army’s Medical Communications for Combat Casualty Care program, the Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship program and a $213 million contract awarded by the Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation were among the most important contracts for the company.
“We’ve seen a lot of new business activity in the training and simulation areas,” said Dennis Kelly, senior vice president at Anteon.
On the civilian side, Anteon has seen an uptick in its National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration work and its General Services Administration’s Public Building Service contract, Kelly added. Anteon is one of three contractors on the GSA program and has won six out of nine task order competitions, Kelly said.
Anteon’s share price rose 3.17 percent in midday trading to $47.25.
