SRA gets Defense research contract

GovWorks used two separate GSA contracts to award the work to SRA.

SRA International has won a contract to support the Defense Department’s Office of the Director of Defense Research and Engineering. Under the $15.9 million deal, SRA will provide systems engineering and technical assistance.

SRA has been supporting DOD’s research and engineering arm since 1994. Under the latest contract, the company will provide program management, database development and administration, and financial management, among other services.

The contract’s estimated value of $15.9 million is contingent on all options being exercised during the contract’s potential five-year span. It was awarded through GovWorks, a fee-for-service acquisition center under the Interior Department’s Franchise Fund.

GovWorks awarded the work through two General Services Administration contracts: Professional Engineering Services (PES) and Management, Organizational and Business Improvement Services (MOBIS).

PES covers strategic planning for technology programs, systems design, engineering and integration, test and evaluation, and integrated logistics support. MOBIS offers management advisory and consulting services.

SRA’s team on the project includes AT&T Government Solutions, Axiom Resource Management, Cexec, Modern Technology Solutions, Schafer, Strategic Applications and Trenchant Analytics.
