DISA extends date for circuit bids
Sept. 1 is now the deadline for placing bids to provide circuits that will connect bases nationwide to GIG-BE.
The Defense Information Systems Agency has pushed back the due date for bids on its massive Defense Information System Network Access Transport Services (DATS) procurement to Sept. 15 from August 16.
DISA plans to acquire between 3,000 and 5,000 circuits to connect bases nationwide to its Global Information Grid Bandwidth Expansion (GIG-BE) fiber optic backbone network.
Tony Montemarano, DISA’s GIG-BE program director, has in the past put the ceiling value of DATS at $3 billion.
