Army releases ITES-2S RFP
The Army released the solicitation for the $20 billion ITES-2S contract.
The Army released the solicitation for the $20 billion Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services (ITES-2S) contract Tuesday.
Proposals are due Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. The Army will award up to eight indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts covering three years with three two-year options. Four of the contracts are earmarked to small businesses.
Kevin Carroll, program executive officer in the Army’s Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems, said in a statement that ITES-2S provides an enterprise contracting approach and focuses a smaller group of contractors on the Army’s network management.
The Army chose 17 companies in March to compete for ITES-2S. The service needs a new contract for enterprise IT services because it expects to exceed the $500 million ceiling for the services portion of the ITES contracts awarded in 2003, which also included a $500 million portion for hardware.
