The Labor Department unveiled an expanded Web site to assist those displaced by Hurricane Katrina find new jobs.

The Labor Department unveiled an expanded to assist those displaced by Hurricane Katrina find new jobs.“Workers displaced by the hurricane are eager to get back to work and rebuild their lives,” said Labor secretary Elaine Chao. “We have created this new Internet resource to connect workers to employers who have jobs to give, including temporary jobs cleaning up and rebuilding devastated communities.”The site lets hurricane victims search for jobs all over the country or jobs centered on helping the Gulf Coast recover from the storm. It also gives employers the ability to post jobs and screen resumes submitted by people displaced by the hurricane.
