Armstrong named DHS deputy CIO
Charles Armstrong, the CIO of the Homeland Security Department’s Border and Transportation Security Directorate, has been named DHS’ new deputy CIO.
Charles Armstrong, the CIO of the Homeland Security Department’s Border and Transportation Security Directorate, has been named as DHS’ new deputy CIO, the department’s CIO announced yesterday.
Scott Charbo, DHS’ CIO, mentioned Armstrong’s promotion at an identity management conference sponsored by the Information Technology Association of America in Arlington, Va.
Armstrong will help DHS work with industry on identity-management issues, including information sharing, case management and passenger screening, Charbo said.
