ManTech gets Navy contract

ManTech International has captured a Naval Sea Systems Command contract to design and develop militarized products for the Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Indian Head Division.

The pact was awarded under Navsea’s SeaPort Enhanced contract. The contract includes a one-year base period and four one-year options. The deal, announced today, could be worth as much as $34.9 million.

Integrators have reported an increase in business through SeaPort Enhanced this year, and some have noted a movement of business to the vehicle from the General Services Administration schedule.

“Many older and existing service contracts are being competed through SeaPort Enhanced when they are due for renewal,” a ManTech spokesman said.

The company has found success with Navsea. In July, ManTech got an $11.4 million Navsea deal to provide modeling and simulation and tactical training applications.

Under the new contract, ManTech will provide engineering and management services. The company will also provide technical data support, testing, training and program management support.

ManTech’s services will assist Navy unmanned vehicles, training ranges and weapon systems.
