Inxight Software gets DIA deal

The military will use Inxight Software products to process intelligence information.

Inxight announced today that the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) awarded it a $1.7 million contract to cover an enterprise license agreement for its SmartDiscovery Analysis Server. The contract includes the company’s ThingFinder search and StarTree visualization software, according to a company statement.

“Inxight Software's products are used to automate the process of filtering key government information to enable analysts and field personnel to rapidly and accurately process intelligence,” said Paul Battaglia, president of Inxight Federal Systems Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Inxight.

The enterprise license agreement covers the military’s nine major commands, including Central Command, which oversees the war in Iraq and Afghanistan; U.S. Forces Korea; and the military’s five new regional service centers.

The contract award marks the second purchase publicly announced in a six-year plan to update DIA’s and the military’s information technology infrastructure to easily share and manage intelligence. The agency implemented the $20 million Horizontal Fusion Portfolio Collateral Space Initiative last year so warfighters and analysts can quickly and easily post and access satellite imagery, and drone video and information gathered by troops and spies on the ground.
