Lorentz joins Blueprint Technologies

Norman Lorentz, the first chief technology office for the federal government, has been appointed senior vice president and CTO of Blueprint Technologies.

Lorentz, who directed the development of the Federal Enterprise Architecture, will play a major role in helping Blueprint respond to increasing demand for EA solutions at both the federal and commercial level, according to a statement by the company, which specializes in enterprise modernization.

“A true enterprise architecture pioneer, Norman Lorentz will enable Blueprint Technologies to strategically build on our successful enterprise modernization practice to help our customers further transform their organizations in new and innovative ways,” said Jeanne O’Kelley, president and chief executive officer of Blueprint Technologies.

Lorentz spent more than 30 years in the public and commercial technology sectors. He was the CTO at the U.S. Postal Service before becoming the federal government’s first CTO at the Office of Management and Budget.

He later became the senior vice president for DigitalNet, which is now part of BAE Systems, and was responsible for the $60 million in products and services sold to federal and state governments. Most recently, he was the CEO of Federal Solutions Group.

“My career has been shaped by the ability to help organizations transform themselves through the strategic application of technology,” Lorentz said in a statement.
