Ciber lands Army tech support pact

Ciber will assume responsibility for the technical support of help-desk operations and other information technology services under a contract with the Army’s 63rd Regional Readiness Command.

Ciber’s Federal Outsourcing Division won the contract, which the company described as a multimillion-dollar effort. In addition to help-desk services, the contract will cover functions such as local-area and wide-area network administration.

The 63rd Regional Readiness Command, based in Los Alamitos, Calif., is the command and control headquarters for active Reserve units in California, Arizona and Nevada, according to Ciber. The contract marks the most recent in a series of Army IT support contracts for the company.

Ciber also has projects with the 88th Regional Readiness Command in Minnesota, the 90th Regional Readiness Command in Arkansas and the 94th Regional Readiness Command in Massachusetts.

Ciber also has a number of Microsoft Active Directory migration projects with the Army.
