DHS extends First Source deadline
Proposals for the $3 billion IT procurement vehicle are now due Jan. 23, 2006.
The Homeland Security Department has extended the proposal deadline for First Source, a $3 billion information technology procurement vehicle.
Company proposals are now due Jan. 23, 2006. The request for proposals published in November had set the deadline as Dec. 19, 2005, but officials filed an amendment to the RFP on that date to add more time.
First Source will be DHS’ vehicle for building a common IT architecture departmentwide, officials said.
First Source is designed to encourage small-business participation because it is designated for businesses with 150 or fewer employees.
