Former Energy security chief joins Input

Bruce Brody, former associate chief information officer for cybersecurity at the Energy Department, has joined research firm Input as vice president of information security.

Brody will lead Input's security consulting practice and contribute to the firm's federal information security analysis program.

“Bruce's insight and experience with information and cybersecurity is unmatched in the government industry,” said Alan Balutis, president and chief executive officer of government strategies at Input, in a prepared statement. “Our members have expressed an increased level of interest in IT security, and we are thrilled to have Bruce on the Input team to help them understand, plan and succeed within this growing market.”

At DOE, Brody oversaw the agency's cybersecurity program and resources. From 2001 to 2004, he was associate deputy assistant secretary for cybersecurity at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Brody will begin his new job Jan. 9, 2006, and report directly to Balutis.
