OPM opens jobs office at Walter Reed
The new OPM office will coordinate activities with the staff of Walter Reed’s Transition Assistance Program.
The Office of Personnel Management announced today that it has opened an office at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center to provide employment information to military veterans, many of whom have served in Iraq.
The office will coordinate activities with the staff of Walter Reed’s Transition Assistance Program and serve as a point of contact for other federal agencies offering employment opportunities. Among other services, the officer will offer one-on-one employment assistance in using OPM’s USAJobs online job application process.
OPM officials said they will staff the office with an employment specialist three days a week.
