The Internal Revenue Service announced yesterday the names of seven new members of its Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee.

The committee has 17 members who represent various segments of the information reporting program community, from major national professional and trade associations to state tax agencies.
The committee provides a public forum for discussing relevant tax administration issues between IRS officials and representatives of the public. Committee members offer recommendations and suggestions on issues intended to improve information reporting programs.
