SBA Web site helps women entrepreneurs
My Biz for Women offers information and advice on starting a business.
A new online tool from the Small Business Administration will help women entrepreneurs find business-related information and assistance.
SBA announced the launch of My Biz for Women Jan. 25, a Web portal designed to help women who want to start businesses. It highlights resources available in the government, according to an SBA press release.
My Biz for Women provides information on starting and growing a small business, gaining access to capital and contracting opportunities, and establishing contacts at government agencies. It also links to SBA’s resource partners that offer business counseling, a state-by-state listing of SBA’s Women’s Business Centers and other information. The Web site is available at http://www.sba.gov/women.
“Women-owned small businesses in the United States are rapidly growing,” SBA Administrator Hector Barreto said in a press release. “They are starting businesses at twice the rate of all businesses.”
Barreto said the Web site is “critically important to help new women entrepreneurs start and grow businesses in this country.”
My Biz for Women features current information on women’s business data and research, success stories, business tips, and upcoming events.
