Brennan to head GSA Performance Improvement Office

J. Gregory Brennan, formerly deputy associate administrator for small-business utilization at the General Services Administration, has become acting administrator of the GSA Office of Performance Improvement. Brennan took the position Jan. 22, but agency officials announced it today.

The office is responsible for implementing President’s Management Agenda initiatives at GSA, along with other agency performance improvement programs.

Brennan served in the small-business role from July 2005 until the promotion to his new position. He will assist David Bibb, acting administrator of GSA, with initiatives including the linking of budget to performance, competitive sourcing, performance measurements, and the Government Performance and Results Act.

Brennan was special assistant for security affairs and executive officer in the Ministry of the Interior under the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq prior to his arrival at GSA.
