Espaol.gov adds e-mail alerts
The system is available on 17 of the site's most visited pages.
Visitors can now receive e-mail alerts on various topics from Espaol.gov, a Spanish-language version of FirstGov.gov.
The alert system is available on 17 of Espaol.gov’s most visited pages. The topics range from employment, immigration and citizenship to health and housing issues, according to a press release.
“Providing citizens with the most up-to-date information available on Espaol.gov is a continuing step in keeping the administration’s promise to enhance citizen access to government information,” said M.J. Pizzella, associate administrator of the General Services Administration’s Office of Citizen Services and Communications. The agency plans to offer subscriptions to more of the site’s pages in the future.
OCSC manages Espaol.gov.
By creating a user profile, subscribers can add, delete or change chosen topics, set up a password-protected profile, change preferences and stop receiving e-mail alerts.
Information on Espaol.gov is updated as soon as new government information is available in Spanish. Subscribers receive a notice of new information and a link to the page directly from the e-mail.
