ManTech wins $114M Army task order

ManTech International has received an Army task order to support a Pentagon initiative focused on countermeasures for improvised explosive devices.

The task was assigned to ManTech as a subcontractor to Computer Sciences Corp. CSC holds the Army Communications-Electronic Life Cycle Command Management Rapid Response contract. ManTech values the two-year project at $114 million. The task has the potential for expansion based on customer requirements, according to ManTech.

Under the task, ManTech will work with the product director for Counter Radio-controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (CREW). ManTech’s services will include rapid-response logistics and repairs management and inventory management.

The ManTech task follows last week’s award of the Army’s $19 billion Strategic Services Source contract, which also covers countermine technology, according to industry executives. The Army’s Communications-Electronics Lifecycle Management Command selected four large companies and three small businesses for that contract.

Earlier this year, ManTech announced an Army task order potentially worth more than $350 million. The maintenance and logistics services task was awarded through an omnibus contract held by VSE. That task order will support Army equipment in Iraq and Afghanistan.
