Orizon wins $3.6M Navy contract
Work under the contract will be performed for the Office of Naval Research’s Acquisition Directorate, University Business Affairs.
Orizon has captured a $3.6 million systems engineering and technical assistance contract from the Office of Naval Research.
The five-year contract marks the company’s first multiyear, competitively awarded contract at that agency, said Michael McLean, executive vice president at Orizon. He also said the contract provides an entry point into the Defense Department sector. The 8(a) company, based in Rockville, Md., has focused on intelligence and civilian agencies for the most part.
Orizon holds prime contracts with the Treasury, Housing and Urban Development and State departments.
Work under the contract will be performed for the Office of Naval Research’s Acquisition Directorate, University Business Affairs, according to the company. Orizon will provide support services for the office’s post-award contract and grant management system and other applications used in post-award administration.
