Melissa Wojciak, staff director for the House Government Reform Committee, is leaving to take a job as director of federal affairs at Monster Worldwide, the committee confirmed today.
David Marin, the committee’s deputy staff director and communications director, who more recently served as staff director for the House Select Committee on Hurricane Katrina, will assume the staff director post.
“Monster’s gain is the Government Reform Committee’s loss,” committee Chairman Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.) said. “Melissa’s an incredibly dedicated, experienced and talented professional who knows the ins and outs of the legislative process as well as anybody who’s worked for me. She will be missed.”
Davis promoted Wojciak from her former job as staff director for the Technology and Procurement Policy Subcommittee to the full committee’s staff director in 2004. She was also a 2003 Federal 100 award winner.
