Apogen buys services firm
Ocean Systems Engineering Corp. brings a range of government customers into Apogen's realm.
Apogen Technologies has agreed to acquire Ocean Systems Engineering Corp. (OSEC), a company that provides engineering and information technology services.
OSEC is based in Carlsbad, Calif., but operates three offices in the Washington, D.C. area. The company has several Defense Department customers, including the Marine Corps Systems Command and the Naval Warfare Center. The company also counts the FBI and the Department of Veterans Affairs among its customers.
OSEC’s contract vehicles include a General Services Administration Schedule 70 IT services contract and a contract under the Naval Sea Systems Command’s SeaPort Enhanced program.
The deal is expected to close by the end of June, according to Apogen. OSEC will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Apogen.
In February, Apogen acquired QinetiQ Trusted Information Management, which provides a security assessment and assurance service.
