Ciber wins medical outsourcing pact
Under the $13.1 million deal, the company will oversee network operations, help-desk services, Web development, systems analysis and project management.
Ciber has landed its first outsourcing contract with an Army hospital, a $13.1 million pact with the Womack Army Medical Center.
The medical center at Fort Bragg, N.C., is outsourcing network operations, help-desk services, Web development, systems analysis and project management to Ciber. The company’s Federal Solutions Practice will support the five-year contract.
Ciber has numerous information technology support contracts with the Army, including a help-desk operations contract with the Army’s 63rd Regional Readiness Command.
Additional health care sector outsourcing initiatives have yet to materialize, said Ron Smith, vice president of the Federal Solutions Practice. But Smith, citing Input data, said 149 pre-request for proposals opportunities exist in the medical community.
