Fellows to study business transformation
The Defense Department program will offer midlevel officers and managers a yearlong experience in business transformation.
Paul Brinkley, deputy undersecretary of Defense for business transformation, established a Defense Business Transformation Agency 2006-2007 Fellows Program, which will begin training fellows July 10.
The program will offer midlevel officers and managers a yearlong experience in business transformation under Brinkley’s direction. The Defense Department created the agency in October 2005 to accelerate improvements in DOD business operations.
Brinkley requested nominations of at least two fellows from all 15 DOD organizations. Nominees must be experienced database or systems users in their functional areas and have secret-level security clearances. The parent organizations will pay the fellows’ salaries while they are in the program.
Brinkley received a 2006 Eagle Award, sponsored by Federal Computer Week.
