Guident to provide business intelligence to GSA

Guident, a small integrator certified as an 8(a) and small, disadvantaged business, has won a blanket purchase agreement to provide the General Services Administration with business intelligence solutions.

Guident, based in Herndon, Va., provides software from Business Objects along with its own design, engineering and technical services. Guident will also provide training for the development of a business intelligence environment that will support GSA's financial management initiatives.

The BPA has a base of one year and two one-year options. Guident estimates that it will generate task orders worth at least $2.1 million.

GSA's effort to standardize its financial reporting is a major priority for the agency, said Ken Raffel, business intelligence practice leader at Guident. "It will shift GSA from their current state of multiple reporting data sources and tools into one business intelligence solution,” he said.
