Alaska native 8(a) company names new sales vice president

EyakTek, an Alaska native 8(a) information technology solutions provider, has named James Waldron vice president of sales.

Waldron, who comes most recently from INX, brings almost 35 years of experience in the IT industry to the position. He will be responsible for all business development activity and will report directly to Quang Le, EyakTek’s general manager and chief financial officer.

Waldron was vice president of the federal sector at INX, an IP communications products and services company. Before that, he was senior director of Defense Department sales at GTSI, and he has also worked in federal sales management positions at Cisco Systems, MicroStrategy, Network Imaging and Compaq Computers.

EyakTek is an Alaska native corporation certified by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, with sales offices in Reston, Va. It was established in January 2002 as a subsidiary of Eyak, based in Cordova, Alaska.
