Brubaker to leave SI

Paul Brubaker has announced that he is resigning as chief marketing officer at SI International, a provider of professional services to federal agencies. He joined the company, which is based in Reston, Va., in 2003 to oversee all corporate marketing activities.

Previously Brubaker was principal of ICG Government, which he founded to advise technology companies on how to market their services to federal customers. Before that, he was chief executive officer of Aquilent, an e-government professional services firm.

Brubaker was deputy assistant secretary of Defense and deputy chief information officer under Defense Secretary William Cohen during the Clinton administration. But Brubaker first made his mark as a staffer for Cohen when he was the Republican senator from Maine in the mid-1990s, helping to shepherd the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 through Congress. The law triggered a dramatic change in how agencies buy and manage technology.
