CBP taps InfoPro for HR support
The company will help the office move to a distributed computing environment.
InfoPro will provide the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Human Resources Management (HRM) with office automation and computer network support as a result of a new contract, CBP announced.
The General Services Administration Delivery Order includes a five-month base period, from May 1 to Sept. 30, and two one-year renewal options, according to a news release. The deal is valued at just over $305,000.
HRM operates from a central location in Washington, D.C., and four field service centers. The office’s 720 full-time employees serve CBP worldwide.
HRM has many business applications running on a variety of platforms. InfoPro will help the office move to a distributed computing environment, which will allow it to distribute processing and data across the organization regardless of the operating system or network.
The new computing environment will increase operating efficiency and reduce costs in the long term, Sue Graham, InfoPro’s chief executive officer, said in a statement. InfoPro is a privately held, woman-owned small business based in McLean, Va.
