Immigration office names CIO
Before joining Citizenship and Immigration Services, Jeff Conklin worked for Washington state and the Education and Defense departments.
Jeff Conklin has been named the new chief information officer at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) branch of the Homeland Security Department, department officials announced today.
Conklin replaces Tarrazzia Martin, who left May 1 to work for Dale Meyerrose, associate director of national intelligence and CIO at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Before joining USCIS, Conklin served for six years as chief executive officer of the Washington School Information Processing Cooperative, which provides technology services to 280 of Washington state’s 296 school districts, according to a USCIS statement.
Conklin also worked in the Education Department as director of technology services and the Defense Department, where he led e-commerce, human resources management system and medical information systems engineering efforts, according to the statement.
