ManTech wins $10M security subcontract

ManTech International has landed a role on a $500 million multiple-award vehicle, through which the Army Corps of Engineers will provide electronic security systems to Army bases and other government facilities.

In January, The Army Corps of Engineers' Engineering and Support Center announced the award of 10 indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts to a mix of large and small businesses.

LVW Electronics, a veteran-owned small business based in Colorado Springs, Co., was one of the awardees. Now it has chosen ManTech as a subcontractor, a deal that could earn ManTech $10 million during five years.

Under the pact, ManTech will help LVW develop and maintain electronic security systems, including intrusion detection sensors, closed-circuit television, access-control systems, and command and control systems.

The other recipients of the prime contracts are: Cirrus Technology; SEI Group; Government Technical Services; Johnson Controls Building Systems; Infotec Systems; Infotec Systems (small business); Northrop Grumman Technical Services; Siemens Government Services; and Williams Electric Company.

Services under the contracts include development of equipment installation engineering plans, hardware and software provisioning, system checking, and interfacing with and installing new data transmission equipment, according to the Army Corps of Engineers. Work will be performed within the continental U.S. and overseas on a task-order basis.
