Survey seeks feedback on SES pay for performance

The Senior Executives Association (SEA) wants to gauge Senior Executive Service workers’ opinions about the SES pay-for-performance system, which is about 2 years old.

The survey is the first to ask government executives about their views on the system. SEA plans to present the survey results to Congress and the Bush administration.

“It is critical that we have hard data instead of anecdotes with which to assess this system and to make recommendations for any necessary change,” SEA President Carol Bonosaro said. “We must have a high participation rate so that we will have a very accurate picture of how well the system is working and what effect it is having on the corps.”
