Air Force awards SI $14M contract
The company will provide life cycle planning, management, and engineering and technical assistance to two commands in Colorado.
SI International, an information technology and network solutions company based in Reston, Va., has won a contract to support Headquarters Air Force Space Command Directorate of Requirements Combatant Commanders Integrated Command and Control Systems Branch.
The contract was awarded under the Contract Advisory and Assistance Services and Engineering and Technical Assistance vehicle and has a one-year base period with a one-year option, followed by a six-month option, according to an SI statement. If all options are exercised, the contract is worth about $14 million in the two and a half years.
SI will provide life cycle planning, management, and engineering and technical assistance to the North American Aerospace Defense Command and Air Force Space Command’s (AFSPC) next-generation command and control capabilities.
Additionally, the contract calls for SI to provide its Defense Department Architecture Framework-compliant enterprise architecture, which uses state-of-the-art object-oriented/Unified Modeling Language technology.
SI will work at AFSPC headquarters in Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., and at SI’s new Colorado Springs, Colo., campus.
