Avatech Solutions expands

Avatech Solutions, a design, engineering and facilities management company based in Ownings Mills, Md., has purchased Technology & Training Service (TTS), a 20-year-old management solutions company specializing in facilities and asset management systems for government, health care, education and commercial markets.

Terms of the deal were not released.

TTS, which is based in Chapel Hill, N.C., will be integrated into Avatech’s Facilities Management Solutions Group, whose clients include the National Park Service, the Naval Surface Weapons Center, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

“TTS is a perfect fit for Avatech,” said Aaron Bukowitz, vice president of Avatech’s Facilities Management Solutions group, in a statement. TTS has worked with large organizations such as Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Duke University, and New Hanover Health Network, he said.
