Indiana will continue to receive e-government portal services from NIC Inc. through a four-year contract worth $18 million.Under the contract, NIC subsidiary Indiana Interactive will develop and maintain the state’s official e-government portal. Indiana Interactive signed its original contract with Indiana in 1995. The state re-bid the contract in February. The new contract is funded through a mix of recurring, fixed-monthly fees for basic services, as well as transaction and project-based pricing for variable services, or those beyond basic services specified in the contract. They include, for example, marketing as well as some types of e-government application development and hosting.
