USPS unveils contract candidates
The agency is seeking a contractor to run its HSPD-12 project management office.
The U.S. Postal Service has completed the presolicitation process for a contract to run its Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 project management office.
The companies being considered are Booz Allen Hamilton, Northrop Grumman, Accenture, Maden Technologies, Maximus, Hewlett-Packard, Excella Consulting and Enspier Technologies.
USPS said it was looking for vendors that are familiar with all aspects of HSPD-12.
The directive calls for agencies to distribute interoperable personal identification verification cards to all federal employees and contractors. USPS wants to establish a project management office to ensure a smooth transition to the program, which has a deadline of Oct. 27.
