Guident names new senior director of business division

Ken Raffel will lead the integrator’s business intelligence practice, including management of the unit’s operational, sales and marketing components.

Ken Raffel has been named senior director of the Business Intelligence division at Guident, a federal government integrator of business intelligence, data warehousing and Oracle solutions.

Raffel will manage the unit’s operational, sales and marketing components. The newly created position is in response to Guident’s rapid growth in business intelligence projects in the federal and commercial marketplaces, according to a company statement.

“The demand for business intelligence services, especially within the federal government, has grown dramatically over the past few years,” said Teddy Matheu, a partner at Guident.

Raffel joined Guident in 2000. He has more than 10 years of management consulting experience, implementing enterprisewide solutions for large federal organizations such as the U.S. Navy, the General Services Administration, and the Environmental Protection Agency. Before joining Guident, he held senior consulting positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and American Management Systems.

Raffel graduated from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a B.S. degree in business information technology.
