Northrop Grumman adds GTSI to team

Northrop Grumman has chosen information technology solutions provider GTSI to provide processing support on its Air Force Network-Centric Solutions (Netcents) contract.

Northrop Grumman’s IT’s sector was one of four large-business winners of Netcents, which was awarded in September 2004 and runs through fiscal 2009.

The Air Force’s Operations and Sustainment Systems Group issues Netcents, which provides products, services and support for network-centric solutions to the Defense Department and other federal entities.

Contract work includes engineering, software development, integration, security and telephone services, and voice, video and data hardware and software products to support the Global Information Grid architecture.

More than $1 billion worth of Netcents task and delivery orders have been given to all four prime contractors, according to a GTSI statement.

GTSI was chosen from among several competitors for its systemic approach to managing the quoting process, according to the announcement. The company has begun to respond to requests, provide quotations and deliver products and solution services as required, it said.
