ICx Technologies names new program VP

ICx Technologies, a developer of advanced security technology for homeland and military security, announced today that retired Air Force Col. Howard Borst has joined the company in the newly created position of vice president of the Program Office.

He will be responsible for establishing the office and identifying initiatives and executing programs for the Defense and Homeland Security departments.

Before retiring after a 27-year military career, Borst served as the system program director of the Human Resource Command and Control Systems Program Office at the Electronic Systems Center at the Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He was responsible for managing more than 300 employees and a budget in excess of $200 million.

Borst previously served as system program director at the Force Protection Command and Control System Office in Boston, where he led a 100-person office that acquired, developed, installed and maintained a $1.5 billion security infrastructure that protects high value assets worldwide. His team was responsible for delivery of “Desert Hawk,” an unmanned air vehicle protecting Air Force personnel worldwide from terrorists and roadside bombs.

Borst was awarded the Legion of Merit and Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
