Joseph Guerci named CTO for SAIC research group
Guerci joins SAIC’s Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Group as vice president and chief technology officer.
Science Applications International Corp. announced that Joseph Guerci has joined the company’s Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Group as vice president and chief technology officer.
Guerci has more than 20 years of industrial, academic and government experience. Most recently he was director of the Special Projects Office with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, where he was responsible for establishing and managing the agency's strategic technology investment portfolio. Guerci also served as a program manager and deputy director for the Special Projects Office at DARPA.
“SAIC is working on a number of projects supporting military customers, focusing on the global war on terrorism, helping to defeat improvised explosive devices and other technologies,” Trey Smith, president of the RDT&E Group at SAIC, said in a statement. “Joe’s extensive knowledge in many of these areas will be important to the nation.”
