Leslie Barry has joined GTSI in the newly created position of vice president of government affairs and business development, the information technology solutions provider announced today.

She will be in charge of expanding the business development organization and using her ties to the IT community to mentor the sales force. Barry will report to Todd Leto, GTSI’s vice president of sales.

Barry is a 20-year veteran of the IT community and has led business development organizations at several integrators. Most recently, she was director of business development at CA, formerly Computer Associates. Before CA, she worked at Computer Sciences Corp., Fed Data and other federally focused organizations.

Barry is a two-time Federal 100 award winner, the recipient of the 2003 Outstanding Individual Industry Contributor of the Year award from the Industry Advisory Council and winner of the 2003 Outstanding Support and Contribution award from the Government IT Executive Council.

She is serving her second term on IAC’s board of directors as vice chairwoman of professional development.

“We are delighted to have someone with Leslie’s skills and abilities join our team,” Leto said in a statement. “Her knowledge of the industry and ability to mentor people will be an important asset as we continue to retool GTSI into a solutions and services company.”

“I am excited to be part of the GTSI family,” Barry said in the statement. “The company has the right vision, direction and an exceptional leadership team.”
