SBA to update Business.gov

In October, the Web site will include compliance news, contact information and federal forms from nearly 100 government Web sites.

The Small Business Administration is revising its Business.gov Web site to include compliance news, contact information and federal forms from nearly 100 government Web sites.

SBA will launch the updated site next month.

Business owners asked the agency to add compliance information, SBA said in a statement today.

On average, small-business owners spend $7,647 per employee to be in compliance with government regulations, according to SBA’s Office of Advocacy. SBA said Business.gov will help these businesses comply and remain in business.

The site will contain compliance information from several departments, including Agriculture, Veterans Affairs, Labor, Commerce and Treasury, and the Environmental Protection Agency, SBA said.

The agency said the expanded site will offer small businesses numerous benefits, including a savings in time and money spent searching for compliance information, forms and contacts.

SBA manages Business.gov in partnership with 21 federal agencies.
