SRA wins $200M in military task orders

The Army National Guard and DOD have awarded the federal integrator two task orders with a combined value of more than $200 million.

The Army National Guard and the Defense Department have awarded SRA International two task orders with a combined value of more than $200 million.

Under terms of the National Guard task order, SRA will provide enterprise operations and security services to support a nationwide information infrastructure, including the GuardNet XXI enterprisewide network, according to a company announcement today.

The task order, awarded under the Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners 2 Innovations (CIO-SP2i) contract, has an estimated value of $173 million over five years if all options are exercised, it states.

Since 2001, SRA has run the enterprise operations center for GuardNet XXI, a nationwide communications structure that supports the National Guard’s communication channel for data and video between the Department of the Army and the 50 states, three U.S. territories, and Washington, D.C.

Under this new contract, SRA will continue to support the National Guard’s enterprise systems and information technology infrastructure — including round-the-clock operation of GuardNet XXI and other systems including Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange e-mail and national video operations.

The SRA team includes ADNET, AGT, FSIS, International Development and Resources, NCI Information Systems, SNVC, and SOGI.

According to the task order from the Defense Technical Information Center, SRA will provide IT support to the director of defense research and engineering. The task order, awarded under the CIO-SP2i contract, has an estimated value of $30.6 million over five years if all options are exercised.

The director manages a $70 billion research enterprise and serves as DOD’s chief technology officer. Under this new task order, SRA services will include program management; business process reengineering; information management requirements analysis, design and development; enterprise architecture; and data standardization and administration.

SRA will also maintain and enhance a knowledge and information management system that supports business process automation and provides a Web-based capability to track and assimilate data.
